Epcon Communities by South Shore Homes hosted a Preferred Partner Showcase on Thursday, Oct. 15, at The Courtyards at The Brooks, a new luxury ranch-style home community located three miles from downtown Valparaiso. The event allowed existing owners and prospective buyers to meet the builders, experience the showroom, examine materials, and become familiar with the community Epcon aims to establish.
The showcase highlighted new luxury ranch-style homes designed for comfort and convenience, built with quality craftsmanship. These homes are specified with premium materials, including natural granite countertops, Bosch appliances, Medallion cabinetry for kitchens and baths, Pella Lifestyle windows, and LP SmartSide siding. Jennifer Keating, sales manager for Epcon Communities by South Shore Homes, noted that the homes are built to accommodate residents long-term, stating, "It's a home that you can age in place." The design is intended for those seeking a spacious home without the demands of stairs or extensive outdoor maintenance. To this end, the homeowners association (HOA) fee includes services such as lawn care, fertilization, weed control, snow removal, and leaf cleanup, catering to residents who travel or prefer less exterior upkeep.
Beyond individual residences, The Courtyards at The Brooks emphasizes community building. Residents can utilize amenities like a clubhouse, a golf simulator, a pool, pickleball courts, and various green spaces throughout the community. Keating articulated the broader vision for the development, saying, "Our goal is to create a community within a community." The Preferred Partner Showcase also served as an opportunity to connect attendees directly with the local trades and premium brands involved in constructing these homes. Presentations were given by LP Siding, Pella Windows, and Walter E. Smithe Furniture. Other contributing partners included Medallion, Schlage, Bosch, Delta, Maxim Lighting, MSI, and Sherwin-Williams, all selected through Epcon's Preferred Trade Partner program for their quality and care. The event aimed to familiarize attendees with the professionals and products contributing to their future homes.
