Valparaiso University men’s and women’s basketball nonconference single-game tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 19, as the season openers approach. Valpo Athletics also announced that the annual All-Sports Reunion Weekend is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 26, through Sunday, Feb. 28, which will include a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader.
Single-game tickets for conference contests for both men’s and women’s basketball programs are expected to become available in early December. Valpo Athletics has implemented a tiered pricing system for men’s single-game tickets, marking the first price increase in several years after a price freeze across all sports last season. This adjustment aims to grow funding initiatives for the department, maximize revenue, and maintain affordable family entertainment options, aligning prices with conference and national peers.
For Tier-1 men’s games, bleacher mezzanine tickets are set at $20, lower bleacher at $25, chairback at $40, and courtside at $60. Marquee matchups in this tier include Belmont on January 21, Indiana State on January 27, Illinois State on February 9, Bradley on February 18, and Murray State on February 27.
Tier-2 men’s games will be priced at $15 for bleacher mezzanine, $20 for lower bleacher, $35 for chairback, and $55 for courtside. Games categorized in Tier-2 are Western Illinois on November 2, Toledo on November 28, Chicago State on December 12, SIUE on December 18, Evansville on December 22, Southern Illinois on January 2, UIC on January 8, UNI on January 18, and Drake on February 3.
Tier-3 men’s games feature tickets at $10 for bleacher mezzanine, $15 for lower bleacher, $25 for chairback, and $45 for courtside. This tier includes the exhibition game against Olivet Nazarene on October 27, CCSJ on November 16, and Saint Xavier on December 8.
Valpo Athletics confirmed it will continue its price freeze for women’s single-game tickets. Fans can purchase women’s tickets for $14 per person, with a reduced rate of $5 for children aged 10 and under.
The All-Sports Reunion Weekend, from February 26-28, is set to feature events such as the Hall of Fame Induction and the Letter Jacket Ceremony. A central event of the weekend will be a men’s and women’s doubleheader at the ARC on Saturday, February 27. On this date, the men’s team will host Murray State, and the women’s team will host Southern Illinois. Both programs will observe their Senior Day and conclude their regular seasons on this occasion.
The men’s basketball team is entering the season following its most successful performance since joining the Missouri Valley Conference.
