Team Chevrolet of Valparaiso and the Winamac Old Auto Club partnered to host their annual car show and cookout on Saturday, October 3. The event, held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., welcomed car enthusiasts, community members, and residents from across Northwest Indiana to browse a display of classic cars and new rides. Admission to the show, which was open to all types of vehicles, was free for the public.
The car show provided an opportunity for attendees to connect over a shared passion for automobiles. Staff members from Team Chevrolet engaged with guests, learning about the history behind their vehicles. The event drew people with varying levels of experience in the car community, fostering meaningful conversations about custom builds and automotive history. Glen Ewen, President of the Winamac Old Auto Club, highlighted the value of these interactions, noting the positive reception from older attendees who enjoyed seeing cars from their past. He stated that the dealership actively promotes the event, reaching out to diverse groups, including those in nursing homes, to ensure wide participation.

Brubaker described it as "a great community event that brings people together," showcasing a variety of vehicles from classics to current model sports cars. He added that it serves as a valuable way for car enthusiasts to gather, share their interests, and discuss the cars they appreciate. This partnership with the Winamac Old Auto Club has continued for several years, a relationship that Glen Ewen, President of the Winamac Old Auto Club, values highly. Ewen commended Team Chevrolet for providing a consistently positive experience, including lunches and various donations.
